IRIS VISUAL PLANNING + DESIGN

Waterfront Projects

IRIS Visual Planning + Design offers the expertise required to assess the landscape and visual impacts of waterfront development. This includes the preparation of landscape and visual impact assessments of private vessel moorings, a Marina, and the Barangaroo Ferry Hub EIS in Sydney Harbour, an upgrade of the Cairns Cruise Ship Terminal and associated channel dredging and the Port Bonython EIS, a rail and port facility in South Australia.

Additional provisions for the protection of scenic amenity is often encountered on coastal landscapes, where views to the ocean and rocky headlands, in particular, are highly valued by communities and have a tangible impact on tourism and community identity. An understanding of the latest statutory guidance and assessment techniques are essential in undertaking these projects.
