Yuleba to Blythedale Transmission Line Project
Visual Impact Assessment for Powerlink
IRIS Visual Planning + Design prepared a visual assessment to inform the impact valuation of two properties that will be affected by the Yuleba to Blythedale Transmission Line Project. The team prepared GIS analysis, photomontages and a written assessment to explain the impacts to it's owners and inform the compensation package. It was essential that the photomontages for this project were rigorously prepared and accurate so as to reflect the true scale and extent of the project. Our Landscape Architects worked with the client and owners on site to identify areas of the properties that were particularly sensitive to the owners, and fairly identify the magnitude of impact.

CopperString Project EIS
Scenic Amenity and Lighting Assessment
The CopperString Project was a proposed power transmission line running generally between Townsville and Mt Isa in North Queensland. This project involves a total of 1028km of transmission line, six substations and associated construction activities including seven temporary workers camps. This corridor covered a diverse cross-section of Queensland landscapes from tropical coastal landscapes through to the outback landscapes of central north Queensland. This Scenic Amenity and Lighting Assessment was used as a technical study to support an Environmental Impact Statement for the project. This project was undertaken for Leighton Contractors. *
